We are thrilled to announce our new album is being mixed! 12 songs of pure rock'n roll! Stay Tuned...
Forget everything you know about french rock… Well, It shouldn’t be too hard ! John Lennon compared it to english wine but that was 30 years ago. More than a generation have been bathed in the real thing since and there is now more than wine and cheese down here !
Perfect Line started in 2011 when two sidemen longing for something else met while gigging in Paris. Thomas d'Arbigny (vocals & bass) and Paul Pavillon (guitar & vocals) realized they shared a common taste in alternative rock, its roots as well as evolutions. Together they spent a prolific year writing songs but could not find the right drummer.
The urge of moving forward pushed them to start recording their material. Thomas asked his long time friend Julien Audigier (former Carousel Vertigo and Nina Attal's backbone) to play the drums for the sessions.
The music recorded by Alexandre Bardé and mixed by Nicolas Boscovic is a blend of high energy, almost punkish rock combined with heavy riffs, intense guitar solos and rich vocals. Shortly after the studio sessions the original duet finally became a trio when the guys met Gaetan Allard, neighbor of Thomas. His drumming, strong and versatile convinced Thomas and Paul that they've just found the missing piece.
As the band regularly performs an acoustic set the guys decided to self produce an acoustic EP in 2013. The raw power was left aside for a while to point out finer arrangments even though it was recorded live.
Both EPs are available on the website. The last project still at work is a serie of live videos recorded at P.A.R.C, a studio in Paris. The first one « Be My Guest » is already available. It’s a combined effort of the band playing live (no overdubs), Didier Thery for the sound engineering and Laurent Benhamou as film director.
The next album should be available in early 2016. The drums where recorded in Belgium at Noise factory studio. We went back to our friend Alexandre Barde to take care of the guitars. Basses and vocals, as well as keys and strings where recorded in our own studio in Paris.
Be sure to stay tuned not to miss them live as onstage is where everything happens! Join us on facebook for the latest news and tour dates of Perfect Line.
